Anti Pleasure’s Favorite Music (or not so favorite)

You know what I found odd, I couldn’t find anything to write about today in this music blog. So I sauntered onto the NME website (UK), Exclaim! Magazine (Canada) and Mixmag magazine (UK) and all three of them have said that LCD Soundsystem WILL in fact be releasing a third album and not to worry, they’re not going anywhere any time soon!

Maybe it is just ironic to me that all three sites that I regularly visit, all said the same thing about the band, lol.

So, James Murphy of LCD has written eight songs for the third awaited album.  “I write all my music in my head, I never demo. I get to a point where there are too many songs and I have to get them recorded. I recently felt that. I’ve got eight in my head - that’s critical mass.”

James has taken some time off though in the mean time to do other things. And other band member Doyle, also plays in Hot Chip and he also stated, “LCD Soundsystem is James Murphy, and he’s allowed to take time off, do other things, and come back, or not come back. And he doesn’t have to tell you or anyone else about it. I didn’t know if anything was going on with LCD next year, which is the truth, and that’s all I should have said, but I gabbled on a bit because that’s the way I am and I didn’t imagine in million years that anyone would concoct a story out of it…”

I never heard any rumors, maybe because I am out of the loop for everything these days. So good to know, the band is sticking around and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
